|BRADENTON, FL (August 9, 2013) – Bradenton’s Family Partnership Center today announced a series of late-summer events aimed at raising funds that will go to help the center assist local parents and children.
A fun Football Mania fundraiser, a Charity Garage Sale and a pair of overnight getaways are all part of the effort. Members of Family Partnership Center’s Board of Directors are actively participating in the fundraisers, according to Katrina Bellemare, FPC’s Executive Director.
Football fans are bound to love the first fundraiser which is already underway. Now through Sept. 5, anyone may purchase a $20 Football Mania fundraiser ticket for a chance to win $1,000s during football season. FPC will host a Charity Garage Sale on Saturday, Aug. 24 at 7:30 a.m. at BMO Harris Bank, 4115 U.S. Highway 301 in Ellenton. Anyone may either shop or donate items to the event. For more information on the Charity Garage Sale, call (941) 756-3007.
Finally, FPC will host a Sept. 12 drawing for a 3-night Anna Maria Island getaway and a special date night at downtown Bradenton’s newly renovated Hampton Inn and Suites, 309 10th St. W., formerly the Pink Palace. Raffle tickets are $10 apiece or $25 for three for two chances to win. The grand prize, a $1,200 value, includes a three-night stay at an Anna Maria Island vacation home, kiteboarding lessons, a local art piece and other surprises. The second prize, a $300 value, includes a one-night stay at the new Hampton Inn & Suites, a $50 gift certificate to the Sandbar Restaurant and a limo ride to and from the Sandbar.
“These events will not only help Family Partnership raise funding that will go to assist local families, they also help raise awareness in the community of the good things Family Partnership Center does on a daily basis,” Bellemare said. “And, we think each of these fundraisers will appeal to just about everyone. There are some great prizes to be had and it’s for a great cause.”
Family Partnership Center is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to serving families in Manatee, Sarasota and DeSoto counties by offering in-home parenting services, community-based groups, classes and workshops. FPC delivers programs that foster the effective parenting of children and youth. Its programs are free to parents and caregivers and are offered daytime and evenings, many with free childcare.
