Butler Pappas is proud to announce that Denise Anderson, a partner in its Tampa office, recently earned her Board Certification in Construction Law from The Florida Bar. This distinction places Ms. Anderson among an elite group of attorneys in the state of Florida who are allowed to identify themselves as a specialist or expert in their field of practice. This designation is only achieved by meeting The Florida Bar’s highest level of evaluation of competence and experience within a particular area of law, as well as ethical conduct and professionalism in practice.
Ms. Anderson has been with Butler Pappas for 18 years and is currently the Chairperson of the Firm’s Construction Defect Litigation Practice Group. Her practice focuses in the fields of construction defect and product liability where she has handled numerous complex construction matters involving the representation of a variety of trades. She has also accumulated several years of experience in handling large loss subrogation matters.
Ms. Anderson is licensed to practice in both Florida and Georgia, and is active in many organizations, including the American Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute, and the Hillsborough Association of Women Lawyers. She is currently the National Membership Vice Chairperson of the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys (ADTA) where she presently serves on four Committees. Ms Anderson continues to serve as a Florida delegate for the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance (CLM), is a member of their Construction Defect Committee, and was recently appointed to serve as the Chairperson of the Steering Committee for the CLM’s production of a Claims Handling Manual which is a national initiative. She is also an AV peer-rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell.
