This estate residence took three years to build, due to its size and extensive handcrafted detailing. For instance, the four 35-foot-long, open-web trusses in the greatroom were crafted from Ponderosa pine timbers specially harvested from a Colorado forest. The logs were transported to a specialty truss shop, rough sawn to size and length, then hand-scraped to achieve the desired distressed look.
