NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. – It is time to get out the cameras! Gulfside Regional Hospice is holding a photo contest to find at least 13 photos to feature in Gulfside’s 2014 monthly calendar. Previous calendars have showcased Pasco County’s natural beauty, wildlife, and even special events.
Each photographer can submit as many pictures as they want, but in the final calendar, there will not be more than two winning entries per person. All photos submitted must be shot in Pasco County and be sizeable for printing at 12 inches wide by 9 inches high. The deadline for submitting photos is 5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013.
Winning photos will be selected by a team of Gulfside’s staff and volunteers. Those who submit a winning entry will be notified by Sept. 30, 2013. Each winner will receive five calendars featuring their photo in November as well as a gift certificate from Gulfside Regional Hospice Thrift Shoppe. Winning photos will also be featured throughout 2014 on Gulfside’s Facebook page.
Guidelines for all photos submitted are the following:
• Digital photos should be submitted in original size (not exceed 6MB per photo) to GRHphotos@gmail.com. CDs of photos can be mailed to Gulfside Regional Hospice’s main office (6117 Trouble Creek Rd., New Port Richey, FL 34653) to the attention of the Community Relations Department. Include your name, e-mail address, home address and phone number on all submissions. Once photos are received, an e-mail will be sent to you acknowledging their receipt.
• Minimum resolution is 300 DPI. Black and white, vertical, date-stamped, digitally manipulated images or pictures taken via cell phones will not be considered.
• If a person is visible in the picture, a signed photo release is required by the person. Contact the Community Relations Department at Gulfside at 727-845-5707, and a photo release form can be e-mailed, mailed or faxed to you.
• If your picture is selected for the calendar, an additional form will need to be completed allowing for Gulfside Regional Hospice use of your photograph free of charge – in the 2014 calendar, media releases, newsletter and Web site.
If you have any questions about the contest, contact Ashley Juno, director of community relations, at 727-845-5707 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
