[ST. PETERSBURG, FLA., August 6, 2013] – Lisa Wannemacher, a Principal in the firm of Wannemacher Jensen Architects, Inc., and member of the Lens Design Team for the new St. Petersburg Pier, will be the keynote speaker at the August 15 membership luncheon meeting for Business and Professional Women (BPW)/St. Petersburg-Pinellas. The meeting will be held on Thursday, August 15 at 400 Beach Drive Seafood and Tap House in downtown St. Petersburg. Networking begins at 11:30 a.m., the meeting and lunch begins at Noon. Lisa Wannemacher founded Wannemacher Jensen Architects 20 years ago in downtown St. Petersburg and under her leadership, the firm has completed over 200 projects for the City of St. Petersburg and over 250 projects within the City limits. Lisa’s firm has been part of the Lens Design Team since August of 2011, when Michael Maltzan Architecture of Los Angeles invited her to be part of his team.
Born and raised in Toledo, Ohio, Lisa moved to St. Petersburg in 1986 after she earned her Bachelor’s degree in architecture from Kent State University. She is a registered architect in Florida and Georgia and is a member of the American Institute of Architects. Lisa is active in the community as a member of the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Governors and the City of St. Petersburg Community Preservation Committee. She is also active with the Mad Dog Triathlon Club.
Lisa was recognized in 2011 by the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce for her outstanding service and commitment to the Chamber, and again in 2013 as the Iconic Small Business Woman of the Year. She lives in downtown St. Petersburg with her husband Philippe Berriot, owner of Cassis American Brasserie on Beach Drive.
