Naples, FL, Aug. 5, 2013 – Come one, come all! The orchid-loving public is invited to attend the kick-off for the Gulf Coast Orchid Alliance’s Monthly Orchid Exhibition Judging at its “Third Thursday” Member Event on August 15, 2013 from 6:30-8:30 P.M. at the Vanderbilt Presbyterian Church at 1255 Piper Blvd., Naples, FL 34110. Attendance is free.
Experienced award-winner growers Tricia Rose, David Genovese, Tom coffey and Jim Longwell will share their knowledge about showing orchid plants for prized awards, such as those bestowed by the American Orchid Society for excellence in growing.
“Group participation” is the key to the event, so Alliance members are encouraged to bring in their blooming plants to help with the evening’s demonstrations.
The non-profit Gulf Coast Orchid Alliance, formed in 2012 for promoting interest in orchids, brings together beginners to advanced hobbyists, who exchange information and ideas in an enjoyable and enthusiastic atmosphere. The Alliance welcomes new members!
