|(Bradenton, FL)…. Because paying for health and wellness services can be challenging even under the best circumstances, Manatee Glens has established a scholarship program to help clients and patients in need. The scholarships will assist those with little or no insurance or financial resources receive the medical care and counseling necessary. There is also a scholarship to help educate future physicians in the residency program. Manatee Glens believes that everyone deserves a chance for health and wellness no matter what their financial status.
“Donors appreciate that 100 percent of their gift goes directly to the scholarship. No part of the gift is used for administrative or fundraising costs,” explained Manatee Glens Chief Development Officer Janet K. Ginn, CFRE. “So many lives are touched each year by our services that we created this as a way for our supporters to establish a living tribute that will change lives and heal families.”
Gifts can be designated for specific areas, groups (children, teens or adults) or programs of Manatee Glens.
For example, a $1,000 Scholarship will provide care and treatment to a sexual assault victim in the Manatee Glens Rape Crisis Center. A $10,000 Scholarship will provide 28 days of treatment in the Manatee Glens Addiction Center; and a $60,000 Scholarship will provide a year of education for a psychiatry resident. “However, gifts of any size, are greatly appreciated and will be used as the donor desires,” added Mrs. Ginn.
