After sold out USA and UK shows in 2012, Grammy-nominated pop icon Adam Ant and his band The Good, The Mad & The Lovely Posse are launching their largest North American tour in 18 years to support his new album Adam Ant is the Blueblack Hussar in Marrying the Gunner’s Daughter. “Fans can expect a massive, full-on musical attack that’s bigger and better than ever,” Adam says. “It took years to record this very personal and intimate album. And I’m excited to share the experience with my friends and fans.” Fans can expect all of the hits including “Goody Two Shoes,” “Stand and Deliver,” “Prince Charming,” “Ant Music,” “Strip” and “Wonderful” as well as deep cuts from Adam’s early days and selections from the new album. The new album, a musical autobiography with stories about Adam’s life featuring collaborations with Boz Boorer (Morrissey), debuted at #8 on The Official Chart in the UK and climbed to #3 on the UK Indie Albums Chart.

The five-piece Backtrack Blues Band, with their upbeat, electric blues sound reminiscent of the early Chicago blues scene, has been performing original blues music since 1980, and has performed with blues legends Stevie Ray Vaughan, B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Greg Allman, Koko Taylor, Johnny Winter, John Lee Hooker, and Robert Cray. Sonny Charles supplies great amplified harmonica and vocals. Spider Ingram (lead/slide guitar, vocals), Little Johnny Walter (rhythm guitar), Joe Bencomo (drums), and Vinnie Seplesky (bass). Having spent decades refining its craft, the band delivers original electric blues with passion and integrity.
