Tom Jewsbury, Deputy Airport Director of Facilities and Operations, was elected President of the Florida Airports Council (FAC) at their 44th Annual Conference held in July in Orlando and attended by over 700 industry professionals.
The Florida Airports Council is the largest airport-specific organization in Florida and the largest state aviation organization in the United States. FAC represents all 19 state commercial service and 76 Florida general aviation airports. FAC is an association of publicly-owned and operated airports, airport professionals, and experts in the fields of airport design, development, and improvement, as well as aviation trades that support the airport industry in Florida.
St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport Director and former FAC President (2008) Noah Lagos states, “Tom has received a great honor to be recognized by his colleagues as a leader of Florida aviation and to serve the aviation community as President of the FAC in the coming year.”
Mr. Jewsbury will serve a one year term beginning on October 1, 2013. He previously served as a FAC Board member and on the Executive Board as Vice President.
