NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. (August 1, 2013) – Gulfside Regional Hospice celebrated the first anniversary of its inpatient care center.
Opened since Aug. 1, 2012, The Gulfside Center for Hospice Care at Heather is designed to serve terminally ill patients who are no longer benefiting from curative care and cannot be adequately managed at home. Gulfside’s staff will work in the center, which will have its own entrance and wing at Heather Hill Healthcare Center. The Center is located at 6630 Kentucky Ave. in New Port Richey.
The residence serves residents in west Pasco. The Center features six private rooms, each with a private bathroom. Accommodations are available in each room for family to stay overnight with their loved ones and visitors are allowed 24-hours a day at the facility. The in-patient unit also features a serene family room for all visitors to enjoy.
Since the Center at Heather Hill opened, more than 230 patients have received care at the facility.
“The Gulfside Center for Hospice Care at Heather Hill is privileged to serve West Pasco residents at the end-of-life,” said Linda Ward, President and CEO of Gulfside Regional Hospice. “It’s a true partnership providing the best care for patients, and we are honored to work with an organization as great as Heather Hill.”
