[Clearwater, July 31, 2013] The Clearwater Regional Chamber created a project to artistically showcase the bottlenose dolphin. The pod has grown to 115 dolphins located in 10 counties throughout Florida, with the heaviest concentration in Pinellas County.
Another shipment of custom made fiberglass/resin 6 foot tall dolphins are en route to Clearwater, due to arrive the week of August 19. If you would like to purchase a dolphin that can be added to the Trail for the public to visit, please submit a purchase order form by August 7 www.clearwaterflorida.org (click on Clearwater’s Dolphins Purchase Form) or call 727.461.0011. Selection of artist and design is the choice of the buyer.
Now available for sale – Paint Your Own 7 inch tall mini dolphins. These custom made replicas are at Clearwater Marine Aquarium, 249 Windward Passage and Winter’s Dolphin Tale Adventure (WDTA) 300 Cleveland Street in Clearwater or shop on-line firstname.lastname@example.org.
Beginning August 5, Barefoot Beach House, 332 S. Gulfview Blvd., Clearwater Beach; One Stoppe Shoppe, 411 Cleveland St., Clearwater; and Sheraton Sand Key Resort, 1160 Gulf Blvd., Clearwater Beach will also be carrying the mini dolphins.
Be watching for mini dolphin decorating classes offered at the retail locations and also at artists’ studios.
