Master Quality Improvement Processes for Today’s Competitive Business Environment with Lean Six Sigma
Tampa, Fla. (July 13, 2013) – Lead your company’s success with continuous improvement processes designed for today’s competitive global environment! USF’s Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (LSSGB) program trains individuals and companies in the critical skills needed for successful project management and quality improvement.
The LSSGB program, which runs from Aug. 9 – Nov. 15, integrates the fundamentals of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. Lean topics address concepts of elimination of waste and reduction of cycle time in organizational processes. Six Sigma principles consist of problem-solving techniques, data collection and statistical analysis, reduction of process variation, process capability, and cost analysis. The program also prepares individuals for USF’s Six Sigma Green Belt certification which demonstrates their mastery of Lean Six Sigma concepts to guide projects and support business growth.
“Lean Six Sigma Green Belt helps companies in need of continuous process improvement – and essentially to do more efficiently and improve their bottom line,” says instructor Nancy Starke, a managing director for Integrated Quality & Project Services, LLC, ASQ Certified Quality Manager of Organizational Excellence and Six Sigma Black Belt. She adds that, “In our classroom setting, students learn how to evaluate Lean Six Sigma tools and apply them to a real world project of their choice. The program is suited to project managers, business analysts, technical specialists, operations officers, and others who are involved in managing business processes for result-driven improvement and customer satisfaction.”
