PUNTA GORDA, FL – King Fisher Fleet donates sunset cruise tickets to college students visiting the area as team leaders for WinShape Camps – a traveling summer camp program being hosted by First Baptist Church of Port Charlotte, FL.
Twenty-three student leaders from all over the United States boarded King Fisher Fleet’s tour boat, the Good Times Too, at Fisherman’s Village in Punta Gorda, on July 3rd for a sunset cruise. WinShape teams and leaders travel to different communities all over the country providing local first-grade through sixth-grade children a week long day camp centered on the organization’s core values: integrity, relationships, teamwork, excellence, and stewardship. Thanks to these leaders, 173 kids from Charlotte County were able to participate in the program which included archery, basketball, cheerleading, crafts, dance, croquet, digital photography, drama, cooking, flag football, gymnastics, painting, music, soccer, science, and more.
As a gesture of appreciation for their efforts in our community, King Fisher Fleet donated sunset cruise tickets to these tired and hardworking WinShape college student leaders. Team leader Sarah Carter said, “We go from city to city and work all day, starting our day before 6:00 a.m. and finally getting back to our motel room and to bed at about 9:00 p.m. We never get to see where we are or what neat things there are around us. This was a very, very, special treat for us! We can’t thank King Fisher Fleet enough!”
