TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa Bay nonprofits have the opportunity to apply for a pro bono professional advertising campaign, valued at more than $250,000. Ad 2 Tampa Bay, a network of young advertising professionals, is now accepting applications for its 2013-14 public service client, for which Ad 2 will donate time, materials and media to produce a strategic and customized advertising campaign at no cost to the selected client.
The application is available on the Public Service page of the Ad 2 Tampa Bay website. Please e-mail completed applications to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than midnight, Friday, July 19, 2013. All Tampa Bay 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations that are not religiously or politically based are eligible to apply.
Last year’s campaign created for Ovacome: Gynecologic Cancer Alliance took home second place in the 2013 Ad 2 National Public Service Competition. Ovacome is Tampa Bay’s only gynecologic cancer awareness and advocacy group. Ad 2 Tampa Bay helped the organization brand gynecologic cancers in the Bay area and generate awareness for its subtle symptoms.
The campaign’s donated media placements garnered 17.3 million impressions and were valued at $258,000. Components include a new logo, website, and integrated campaign including television, newspaper, radio, outdoor, digital and social media.
Many of the elements of the campaign were also donated by local organizations, including Clear Channel Radio and Outdoor, WTSP, Direct Media Inc., Viamedia/Knology, ChappellRoberts, Spark, Florida Cancer Specialists, Social Forces, The Tampa Tribune, the Tampa Bay Times, tbt*, Tampa Bay Newspapers, Tampa Bay Business Journal and La Gaceta.
