| July 13 event will raise funds for United Way of Manatee County
MANATEE COUNTY, FL (July 5, 2013) – Let’s grab a lane!
Manatee County invites the public to the third annual United Way Team Bowling Tournament on Saturday, July 13 at AMF Lanes, 4208 Cortez Road in Bradenton. Registration begins at 10 a.m. and the tournament starts at 11 a.m.
For a $25 entry fee, bowlers will receive three bowling games with shoe rental, pizza and soda. The first place team will receive $350. Second place will receive $250 and third place wins $150. Men’s and women’s scratch game winners will also receive $50. Proceeds will benefit the United Way of Manatee County.
“Last year 105 bowlers participated in the tournament and after expenses we raised over $3,000 for a great cause,” said event coordinator Mary Pendleton-Brown. “This is a great opportunity to have fun while supporting those agencies that instill a better quality of life in our community through the services they provide daily.”
Gift baskets donated by Manatee County employees will also be raffled for suggested donations of $1 a ticket or six for $5.
Karen Klarich and Friends will perform during the tournament.
