It’s Cool inside the Coliseum at the annual Cool Art Show July 20 – 21, 2013. Open from 10:00am to 5:00pm both days at St. Petersburg’s historic Coliseum located at 535 4th Avenue North. Admission and parking are free, and the Coliseum’s food and beverage concessions will be open to the public, including beer and wine.
The Cool Art Show arrives in the midst of summer, oblivious to heat and storms. This is a juried fine art and craft event displaying high caliber work from 80 local and statewide artists. This juried Fine Art and Fine Craft Show is hosted by PAVA, the Professional Association of Visual Artists. All artwork is made in America – hand created by the artist and for sale. A remarkable collection of visual and functional creations in paint, wood, ceramics, photography, metal, glass, mixed media and jewelry. PAVA continues its tradition of representing distinction across the spectrum of artistic media.
Cool Art has grown in 25 years from its beginnings as an outlet for artists and the public in the slow summer, to a outstanding highly respected show establishing it as a not to be missed art event. In celebration of our 25 years two of the founders of Cool Art have created commemorative images. An image created by Denis Gaston with be for sale on a T-shirt along with a tote bag with an image by Jack Briet.
PAVA is a not-for-profit, artist run organization. It is composed of artists from throughout the state of Florida and Eastern United States. It has been in existence for over 25 years. PAVA hosts several art shows each year, including the Annual 2Cool Art at the Gulfport Casino in February.
