|June 20, 2013, Bradenton, FL – Renaissance on 9th will host a Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting event for its new 2nd Generation Thrift Shop on Thursday, July 18, 2013, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. While Generations Gift Shop remains popular with guests of Renaissance on 9th, the 2nd Generation Thrift Shop now offers them a place to find great bargains on fabulous, gently-used merchandise. In addition to browsing the new shop, attendees can enjoy happy hour with beer, wine and gourmet appetizers from the 9th Street Bistro. The 2nd Generation Thrift Shop will also accept donations of jewelry, accessories, home décor and housewares, but no clothing or shoes. Proceeds from merchandise sold at 2nd Generation Thrift Shop benefit the programs of Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee.
“What’s great about our new thrift shop is that it specifically features accessories, jewelry, home décor and house wares,” said Judi Bjork, General Manager of Renaissance on 9th. “It’s almost an extension of our original gift shop, with all the characteristics that our customers love. We are excited to invite everyone to come in and find some treasures!”
