Bradenton, FL – Who can resist the most adorable babies in the world – kittens? Not many, and if anyone is looking to adopt a kitten, this weekend is the time to do it. Friday June 21st through Sunday, June 23rd, animal shelters and rescue organizations throughout the County are collaborating on a Kitten Adopt-A-Thon. All are offering reduced prices and great choices at all locations. All kittens will be only $25.00 instead of the usual $60 – $80 price. All will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped. Some locations are discounting all cat adoptions to $25 for this Adopt – A –Thon special weekend.
Participating organizations include Bishop Animal Shelter, SPCA; Gulf Shore Animal League at Pet Supermarkets (Cortez and Manatee Avenue); Humane Society at Lakewood Ranch, Humane Society of Manatee County, Manatee County Animal Services (Palmetto and Downtown Bradenton), Nate’s Honor Animal Rescue, Nate’s Place Adoption Center, and Petco locations on University and Manatee Avenue West.
Animal Shelters and rescue organizations have been helped by a large number of volunteer fosters who have been caring for many young kittens – some requiring bottle feeding; others with the moms doing the raising in a safe place with plenty of food and loving care. Now it is time for these kittens to find a loving forever homes of their own.
The media is invited to a sneak preview of just how cute and playful these kittens really are at a press conference to help share the excitement of the event.
