|Community Haven for Adults and Children with Disabilities, Inc. would like to express their appreciation for the many acts of kindness and financial support to the following companies and individuals: Temple Emanu-El volunteers spent their Mitzvah Day cleaning up our 32 acre campus; Director of Sales – Judi Athari and her team from Buffalo Lodging/Comfort Suites University Parkway for hosting an Easter Egg Hunt/Pizza Party for the Selby Preschool Children; Peter and Sherry Tracy through the Community Foundation of Sarasota County for donating a stunning orchid in honor of the great work our agency does to empower people with disabilities; Phyllis Siskel for generously funding a painting project to improve our Haven Industries and Selby Administration and Learning Center buildings and The Home Depot at University Parkway for donating over 40 gallons of paint for the project; The Fresh Market donating herbs and flowering plants for our plant nursery; The Selby Foundation providing a sizable grant to re-purpose the Selby Academy Building into classroom space, kitchen, upscale re-sale store, and administrative offices; The Bradenton Marauders Baseball Players for visiting our adult clients and providing them an informal baseball game, autographed baseballs, and other fun activities; The Fry Family Foundation providing grant funding to build an Athletic Court and computer lab on our campus; Harvest Methodist Church for hosting a fun pizza party for our adult residents; Joanie Been, Marketing Analyst for IRISS Corporation for donating her time and talent in putting together our Annual Report; Janine Scanni of Wells Fargo, University Parkway branch for securing a $1,000 grant; The Service Club of Manatee County recently awarding Community Haven with a $7,000 grant from their 48th Annual Antiques & Collectibles Show in February; The Florida Winefest & Auction for presenting Community Haven with a $5,000 grant for our Transitions Program; The Patterson Foundation contributing $300 in the 36-Hour Giving Challenge that took place in early March; The Miracle League of Sarasota for hosting an end of the season party at Longwood Park for Community Haven and other groups representing athletes with disabilities; Director of Adult Services at Community Haven, Brad Jones coached our New York Yankees Miracle League Team to a very successful season; The Manatee Community Foundation for a $2,500 grant that will fund three summer camps and supplies for our teens with disabilities enrolled in our Transitions Summer Program; A $1,000 Grant from the Venice Yacht Club for athletic equipment; and a $3,500 Grant from the Lakewood Ranch Community Fund to help further our Transitions Program for Teens with Disabilities Ages 14-21. Community Haven has been very fortunate to be in a community that supports the work we do and the people we so lovingly serve. Thank you one and all.
