National leader in promoting sustainability honored
CLEARWATER, Fla. (May 28, 2013) – Recognizing his leadership in promoting the commercial real estate industry on a national and global level, John K. Scott of Colliers International Tampa Bay, Central & Southwest Florida has been named a BOMA Fellow, one of BOMA International’s highest honors.
BOMA Fellows are a select group of individuals who have made exemplary contributions to commercial real estate, the community and the organization. Honorees use the “BOMA Fellow” credential and serve the organization in a variety of ways, including teaching, writing articles, serving as mentors, identifying future BOMA leaders and serving as thought leaders.
Scott, RPA, Senior Executive Managing Director for Colliers International Tampa Bay, Central & Southwest Florida, is one of Florida’s top commercial property management professionals. His group oversees a Florida portfolio of over 100 retail, office and industrial properties in excess of 8.5 million square feet for Colliers.
With a wealth of experience in promoting the commercial real estate industry and sustainability, Scott serves in a number of leadership positions for groups such as the Commercial Real Estate Energy Alliance (CREEA), a partnership of commercial real estate owners and operators working with the U.S. Department of Energy to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.
