(ST. PETERSBURG, May 2013) – Just announced…St. Petersburg’s own Second Time Arounders Marching Band has been invited to perform DURING the National Cherry Blossom Parade!
A rare opportunity has been offered to and accepted by the Second Time Arounders Marching Band – the chance to perform a three and a half minute show in front of the grandstands and LIVE on television – during the National Cherry Blossom Parade. This is an invitation not usually offered to marching bands, but the Rounders uniqueness and reputation led the committee to invite them to do just that in 2014!
They did it for Macy’s and they’ll do it for the National Cherry Blossom Parade!
Their performance will be filled with patriotism and Americana – powerful music, an abundance of red, white, and blue, plus stunning visual effects that will leave the crowd proud Americans and smiling from ear to ear!
In addition to the parade and performance, the Band has also been awarded the illustrious opportunity to place a wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
NOW is a GREAT time to join the Rounders! If you’ve ever marched in a high school, college, or military marching band – please join them!
The Rounders perform locally, nationally, and internationally…more recent performances include the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2008, the Calgary Stampede in Calgary Canada in 2011, the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Savannah, Georgia in 2012, and the Conch Republic Parade in Key West just this past April 2013.
Ages 18-85, the Second Time Arounders Marching Band is the first all-ages band in the country! The Band supports arts and music programs in local schools.
