May 8 event will include 2012 visitor profile, semi-annual performance and Ambassador Award winner
Tampa, Fla. (May 7, 2013) – Celebrating the significant contributions of the hospitality and tourism industry to the local community, Tampa Bay & Company will host the 16th Annual National Tourism Week Luncheon on May 8 at A La Carte Event Pavilion.
What: Various speakers will address the 2012 tourism numbers, the semi-annual visitor numbers and details on the visitor profile – all provided by Smith Travel Research and the Bonn Marketing Research Group, Inc.
The winner of the 2013 Gonzmart Family Ambassador of the Year Award will also be revealed, honoring an individual in the community who has made a significant impact on Tampa Bay tourism through his/her achievements, high professional standards and overall interest in promoting the region.

National Tourism Week kicked off with the Rally for Tourism on Monday, May 6, at Tampa International Airport and continues with the Hospitality Olympics on Tuesday, May 7, at Raymond James Stadium.
