|How would you feel if tomorrow your child needs a new prosthesis and it costs between $14,500 and $20,000 but you have no insurance and not many of us have that much available cash? But what if you are lucky and your child only needs a below-the-knee leg so it costs as little as $12,000? Would you have that much cash available? Consider that a young child grows quite a lot between the ages of 5-10. That may be as many as 5 legs. At $20,000 per year, that is $100,000 in just five years. Now, how many of us have THAT?
On August the 6th we are having a fundraiser for Steve Chamerland’s 50 Legs in St Pete. The Fundraiser will take place at the Blue Door Spa, 5234 St Rd 64 East in Bradenton from 6-8PM. All proceeds go to children needing prostheses who have little or no insurance.
This fundraiser is being promoted by WOoF but it is not just for Women Owners of Florida, Inc members, it is for everyone. We are a registered charity and we want to give back to the community. This is what we do as local businesses. This is WHO we are!
Please help us by donating Silent Auction Items or attending the event. Attending is FREE. We are hoping to make LOTS of money on the Silent Auction Items so that is where we need your help. Please Donate! Please Attend!
