Tampa, Fla. (April 30, 2013) – The Tampa Bay Entrepreneurship Gala has named the recipient for its annual awards, naming Cigar City Brewing as the Entrepreneurship Organization of the Year and the Sweetwater Organic Farm as the Social Entrepreneur of the Year.
Each of these organizations will receive their awards at the 2013 Tampa Bay Entrepreneurship Gala to be held on Friday, May 10th, at the Sheraton Tampa Riverwalk in Downtown Tampa.
Joe Redner, owner and founder of Cigar City Brewing and Bill Rain of Sweetwater Organic Farms will be in attendance to receive the awards at the event, during which Curt Jones, CEO and Founder of Dippin Dots will deliver the keynote speech.
The Tampa Bay Entrepreneurship Gala is organized by graduates of the USF Center for Entrepreneurship, to benefit the Michael W. Fountain Endowed Scholarship, named after the current Director of the USF Center for Entrepreneurship. The vision of the endowment scholarship is to help grow the dreams of young entrepreneurs through mentorship, financial support, and additional resources needed to help start their business.
“Dr. Fountain has served as an inspiration to all of us who went through the program that a group of us got together 3 years ago to establish this scholarship to recognize his dedication to his students and the entrepreneurial community” said Jennifer Sinneway, current chair of the USF Alumni Society of Entrepreneurs.
Media outlets are invited to conduct interviews with award recipients or keynote speaker upon request.
