Tampa, Fla. – April 8, 2013 – Carlton Fields is pleased to announce that Tampa Of Counsel, Nicole C. Kibert, was selected by the University of Florida Levin College of Law as a 2013 Outstanding Young Alumnus. Kibert was honored with this award during UF’s Orange & Blue breakfast on April 6, 2013.
The University of Florida Alumni Association established this award to recognize UF Alumni who have distinguished themselves in business, community, or service.
Kibert received her J.D., with high honors, from the University of Florida Fredric G. Levin College of Law in 2003 and her M.S. from the University of Florida in 2000. She received her B.S. from George Washington University in 1997 and she also attended Humboldt University of Berlin and the University of Costa Rica.
At Carlton Fields, Kibert represents developers in the creation of planned communities, condominiums (mixed-use, conversions, age restricted, commercial and residential) and subdivisions with a special emphasis on projects involving sustainable development, green building, downtown and brownfields redevelopment, renewable energy generation, and historic preservation. She is a certified mediator and a LEED® Accredited Professional. She also leads Carlton Fields’ “Go Green” initiative, a program that seeks to reduce the environmental impact of our business practices by implementation of waste reduction and recycling policies, adoption of a green procurement policy, and reducing our energy consumption.
Kibert is involved in a variety of professional, academic, and community organizations including the University of Florida Law Alumni Council, the University of Florida Center for Government Responsibility (board of advisors), The Florida Bar‘s Environmental and Land Use Law Section (chair-elect), Hillsborough County Bar Association’s Environmental and Land Use Section (co-chair), and Tampa Theater’s Balcony Club.
