Michael’s On East Features Spirits Made in the USA, Partners with Sarasota’s Artisan Cheese Company
An iconic Sarasota restaurant has joined forces with one of the area’s hottest new boutique shops to feature unique offerings “Made in America.” The culinary team at Michael’s On East is pleased to unveil its new “Made in America” Cheese Flight, an ever-changing trio of American artisan cheeses, sourced locally through Artisan Cheese Company.
Plus, the restaurant and lounge are now showcasing six classic cocktails crafted with a new selection of boutique spirits made in the United States.
“It’s a match made in foodie heaven,” said Molly Klauber, assistant general manager of Michael’s On East. “Personally, I’ve been a ‘cheese-oholic’ throughout my entire life and the selections these cheesemongers have prepared for us are to die for. I recommend enjoying these artisan cheeses with one of our new handcrafted ‘All American’ cocktails or a flight of fine wines.”
Artisan Cheese Company is a retail store located in downtown Sarasota offering hand-cut to order artisanal and farmstead cheeses from across the region, the country and Europe. “I’m excited about this new collaboration as it means that Michael’s guests will be able to experience some of America’s best artisanal cheeses at their tables,” said Louise Kennedy Converse, co-owner and founder of Artisan Cheese Company. “There are so many amazing cheeses in America and now they’re here in Sarasota.”

and is available for $15 during lunch or dinner at Michael’s On East. “Made in America” Handcrafted Cocktails are $12 each. The current “Made in America” Handcrafted Cocktail selections include Germain-Robin Craft-Method Brandy from Ukiah, Calif.; UV Vodka from Minneapolis, Minn.; Glorious Gin from Brooklyn, N.Y.; Death’s Door Gin from Washington Island, Wis.; and Boyd & Blair Vodka from Glenshaw, Pa.
