|BRADENTON, Fla. – The United Way of Manatee County gratefully announces the tremendous combined volunteer efforts of two community corporate leaders, Florida Power and Light and Publix Supermarkets.
This local volunteer project was organized in conjunction with Florida Power and Light’s statewide Power 2 Care program, which focuses on employees giving back to their community.
On Thursday, March 7th at 9am, volunteers from each company, totaling more than 30 people, will take on work projects at Foundation for Dreams- Dream Oaks Camp and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Manatee County – Desoto location. Volunteers from both companies will work side-by-side trimming trees, clearing brush, and painting buildings.
Florida Power and Light has graciously offered to cover the costs associated with this beautification project.
