Saint Leo University to Hold Small Business Development Center Grand Opening March 6
(Tampa, Fla.) March 4, 2013– The Florida Small Business Development Center is celebrating its new location at Saint Leo University’s Donald R. Tapia School of Business March 6, 2013 from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. during a ribbon cutting ceremony that’s open to the public. Attendees have the opportunity to network with community leaders while learning about the no-cost business consulting services and initiatives available to prospective entrepreneurs and existing business owners in Pasco County.
“The Florida Small Business Development Center Network and the University of South Florida College of Business have helped Pasco County businesses start and grow since 1980,” said Eileen Rodriguez, SBDC regional director. “For the past several years, the SBDC’s consultants have used office space provided by the local chambers and the Pasco Economic Development Council in order to help entrepreneurs optimize their business performance. Our collaboration with Saint Leo University allows us to have a stable location to better serve our current and future clients.”
Carol Hendrix, who is the SBDC’s primary Certified Business Analyst serving Pasco County, provides expertise in business planning, marketing and financing. She spent 25 years as a small business and nonprofit lender and has served as executive director of several community development financial institutions and micro-lending organizations. She has taught business, management, business finance and entrepreneurial studies at several universities.
SBDC Grand Opening Ceremony
WHAT: SBDC grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the collaboration between the Small Business Development Center Network, Saint Leo University and the Pasco County business community. Attendees will have the opportunity to mix and mingle with community leaders while learning how the partnership will help entrepreneurs and small businesses in Pasco County create jobs and strengthen the economy. Refreshments provided.
Guest speakers include: Dr. Michael Nastanski, dean of Saint Leo University College of Business; Eileen Rodríguez, SBDC regional director; and Carol Hendrix, SBDC certified business analyst serving Pasco County.
