Hillsborough County Commissioners are seeking residents to serve on the Public Art Committee. Residents interested in seeking appointment must be registered voters in Hillsborough County. These are voluntary positions, and members serve without compensation. Applicants may only serve on one board at a time. All members must sign a Standards of Conduct form.
The deadline for applying is Mar. 7, 2013. Appointments will be scheduled for a meeting of the Board of County Commissioners in April 2013.

Kennedy Blvd. in downtown Tampa; by calling Dan Myers, Public Art Committee Liaison, at 813-307-1035; or on the County’s website at: www.hillsboroughcounty.org. The “Application Questionnaire for County Appointments” is in the middle of the page, along with the “Standards of Conduct” form. The forms can be filled out and printed, and then scanned and emailed to email@example.com; hand-delivered; or mailed to Dan Myers, Public Art Committee Liaison, 23rd Floor County Center, 601 E. PUBLIC ART COMMITTEE–this Committee acts in the public interest on all matters relating to the Public Art Ordinance including the selection, placement and maintenance of works of public art throughout the County. The Committee provides public input in the administration and planning of the Public Art Program, and serves as a liaison to the Hillsborough County visual arts community.
One term has expired and one position is vacant due to resignation. One term is for three years and one is for the remainder of a term, which expires on Dec. 31, 2014. Both positions are specified as private citizens with a demonstrated knowledge and appreciation for visual art, with at least one member residing in unincorporated Hillsborough County. No member shall serve for more than two full three-year terms. Meeting schedule is Quarterly.
