New store scheduled to open early July
Goodwill Industries-Suncoast, Inc. began site work in January on a high-profile superstore in the Trinity area of Pasco County. The newest Goodwill superstore will be located on the southeast corner of SR 54 and Corporate Center Dr.
The 26,000-square-foot store will employ approximately 47 people, creating new jobs in Pasco County. A smaller Goodwill store in Port Richey, at 10447 U.S. Hwy 19 N., will likely close in conjunction with the superstore opening. The Port Richey store’s 17 employees will be offered positions at the new store.
Goodwill-Suncoast’s Trinity Superstore is the eighth superstore opened in greater Tampa Bay and Ocala since 2001. In a highly-competitive economy, the bright and contemporary superstore model helps to align Goodwill with other discount retailers. Like Goodwill’s other superstores, it’s sure to appeal to a wide cross-section of value-conscious shoppers. The store will be stocked with donated clothing, furniture and household items, as well as a wide variety of brand-new products.
Besides being a bargain-hunter’s paradise, the store will offer a convenient drive-through donation lane. This will give area residents a place to easily drop off items they no longer need, contributing to a greener community while supporting Goodwill-Suncoast’s services to tens of thousands of people in West Central Florida.
Successful stores are critical to Goodwill’s mission, as retail revenue helps support the agency’s many human services. In Pasco County, Goodwill provides both short- and long-term employment services to people with disabilities and is the lead provider of employment services at Career Central One-Stop centers.
