CLEARWATER (January 23, 2013) – WorkNet Pinellas will be holding multiple On-Site Recruitment Events at its One-Stop Career Centers; which are open to the general public.
On January 23rd – 25th, Pinellas County Schools Transportation Authority will be at three of WorkNet Pinellas One-Stop Career Center locations to fill Bus Driver (#9734175) positions. Required screenings include DMV Pre-employment screening, Dexterity Test, Drug Screening, DOT physical and complete FBI background check (fingerprint fee $60.50 to paid by candidate). Work schedule varies but guaranteed 6 hours per day and pay is $12.50 per hour. Locations for this On-Site Recruitment event are Gulf-to-Bay One-Stop Career Center (2312 Gulf-to-Bay Blvd, Clearwater ) 9:30am – 11:30am; South County One-Stop Career Center (3420 8th Avenue South, St. Petersburg) Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 9:30am – 11:30am and Wednesday 2:00pm – 4:30pm; and the Tarpon Springs One-Stop Career Center (682 E. Klosterman Road, Tarpon Springs) 9:30am – 11:30am.
The South County One-Stop Career Center (3420 8th Avenue South, St. Petersburg) will also host PODS on Friday, January 25th,from 11:00am – 3:00pm for full time Container Repair Technician (#9744574). Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, 6 months experience in a related field (assembly, steel fabrication, carpentry, industrial painting), must be able to climb, kneel, crouch or crawl, and be able to stand and walk up to 10 hours a day; stoop bend and lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. Position performs repairs on Company branded containers as assigned. Repairs will be performed at Storage Center locations as well as drop lots as assigned. Hours are Monday thru Sunday, 1st & 2nd shift, 40 hours per week. Pay is $10.00-$14.00 per hour.
On Tuesday, January 23rd the South County One-Stop Career Center (3420 8th Avenue South, St. Petersburg) will also host United Health Insurance from 9:30am – 12:00pm to fill full time Insurance Sales Agent (#9744605) positions for Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and reliable transportation to perform daily travel to various locations. No experience is required; employer will train and assist with candidate obtaining Life / Fire Insurance Licenses. Candidate will retain the existing customer base with customer service and then grow the debit area in the following: Life Insurance, Rental Insurance (fire/burglary), Accidental Insurance & Cancer Insurance. Pay is base plus commission.
