Teens and Young Adults Explore Career Options
Spring Hill, FL, December 24, 2012– Hernando Youth Initiative’s Workforce Transition Team*, invites young people to meet with the community to explore their options in the workplace at this free event co-sponsored by The Kiwanis Club of Weeki Wachee and Career Central. Plan to attend from 10AM-2PM on Saturday, January 19th at the Suncoast Dance & Party Center, 13383 County Line Road, Spring Hill. RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org for entry into a grand prize drawing to be held at the event.
The Youth Options Expo will host local businesses, organizations and institutions to offer solutions for young people to become successful in the world of work.
Speakers, businesses and vendors are invited to share their knowledge, expertise and services at this event. Teens and young adults will meet with future employers and learn of alternative opportunities such as entrepreneurial ship, post-secondary education, armed forces, volunteering and other adventures. Door prize drawings will be held every half hour, food and beverage sales will be available from the Kiwanis Club of Weeki Wachee and a special kiddie corner will keep the younger set entertained and engaged.
Dawn Easter explains, “We want young people to know that they have options for making a living. While local employment is satisfying for some, not everyone is cut out for that solution. This event will give youth a chance to explore alternatives, gain new insight and begin planning for what they want to do with their lives.”
