SARASOTA –Under the dynamic direction of Pam Durdey, and our talented pianist Jay Snyder of Haven Industries, who keep the chorale on track — and in tune – the Windy Warblers are an energetic group of civic minded carolers who love performing at the Community Haven every Christmas returning with their resident pianist, Gerard Dunn the end of January, and April each year.
This year’s winter program – and songs– center around the word “love”; last year each song featured its own “color”.
In addition to singing, the group brings along Santa Claus, whose elves and helpers distribute Holiday flare that is sure to put a smile on the residents, guests, and staff faces at Community Haven.
Gift bags are organized and delivered by the “Good Neighbor Ladies’ Group in The Winds of St. Armand’s North”, a breezy laid back retirement village in subtropical Sarasota–where most of the singing group resides.
The merry, melodic voices and jingle bells of the Windy Warblers “songbirds” are sure to inspire Holiday Cheer in even the most resistant Grinch!
