Partnership Conducting Biennial Worker and Resident SurveyTampa, FL – (December 13, 2012) – Beginning in 2008, the Partnership has called upon a third-party research group to conduct biennial downtown studies. In the first two studies, worker and resident survey feedback demonstrated demand for downtown amenities, which led to the undertaking of important enhancement projects. Those included heightened accessibility to the river, the founding of a weekly outdoor market, the Glazer Children’s Museum, the Tampa Bay History Center, an extended streetcar line, the reopening of Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, the addition of urban dog parks, new advanced technology parking meters that accept credit cards, new directional signage, new restaurants and retail openings, and extended retail operating hours.
Since the last study in 2010, Downtown Tampa has continued to change and grow. With the new survey underway, the Tampa Downtown Partnership leadership and staff have expectations that the residents and workers responses will demonstrate a new and changing demand for services and amenities.
As a thank you for their time, respondent names will be randomly drawn to receive a variety of certificates from downtown venues and restaurants.
The survey results will be documented in a study and will be presented to the Downtown Partnership members and public in first quarter 2013.
