Clearwater Beach, Fla. (December 11, 2012) – Iconic Clearwater Beach played host to the west coast’s chicest and largest beachside food and wine extravaganza – Clearwater Beach Uncorked. The Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa amid an extensive group of restaurants, wines, spirits and national consumer brands brought culinary magic to the bay-area on November 17th and 18th leading up to the Thanksgiving holiday.
After a quick stop at the Shoe Check inside the Grand Tasting Tent, nearly five thousands foodies nibbled and sipped their way through the epicurean maze as they explored all things fabulous. The all-inclusive event ticket included admission to the Spirits Beach Club presented by Publix Liquor Stores. Guests were treated to a vast array of spirits from classic bourbons to exotic liqueurs.
The area’s best restaurants including Armani’s, SHOR American Seafood Grill, Caretta on the Gulf, Lobster Pot, Lobster Pot Bistro and Shephard’s Beach Resort were featured in the Grand Tasting Tent throughout the weekend. Guests were educated on the nuances of their favorite wine vintages and varietals while exploring the intricacies of over one hundred wine selections. Hitting your sweet spot was easy at the Ciao Bella Gelato station serving drool-worthy desserts including decadent gelatos, sorbets and frozen yogurt and the luxurious Lindt Chocolate pavilion to satisfy the deepest darkest chocolate cravings.
An impressive lineup of national chefs appeared on the Publix Aprons Cooking Stage as they whipped, whisked and wowed the crowd for two days of beachside bliss.
Reynolds/Hefty Nascar driver Eric McClure made a pit stop at the event to sign autographs and co-host a unique cooking demonstration with Lindt Chocolate Master Chocolatier Ann Czaja.
In its second year, Clearwater Beach Uncorked attracted a record breaking crowd impressing even the most discriminating taste-maker. This is the ultimate beach soiree that continues to leave attendees salivating for more.
