TAMPA, FLA. – Nationally recognized custom-home builder Alvarez Homes has been selected for the Preferred Builder Program at Stonelake Ranch, the private 685-acre community of just 160 executive and estate homes situated along 900-acre Lake Thonotosassa in eastern Hillsborough County.
According to project manager Brian Funk, Alvarez Homes will offer designs from its residential portfolio, but also will custom-design estate residences to fit a client’s needs and lifestyle.
At Stonelake Ranch, Alvarez Homes will offer residences starting at 3,600 square feet of living space and priced from $750,000 plus homesite. Homesites start at $99,000 and range up to $979,000.
Alvarez Homes was founded in 1983 by Bobby Alvarez – who operates this award-winning custom-home-building company with partners Freddy and Alex Socias. Since then, Alvarez Homes has earned dozens of local, regional and national home-building awards and has been featured in numerous publications that focus on custom-design and construction.
Among its many honors are three Best of Show awards during Street of Dreams showcases, the only builder to achieve this milestone. Moreover, Alvarez Homes has won numerous Aurora Awards at the Southeast Builders Conference for Best Custom Homes in the Southeast, as well as a national Best in American Living Award from the National Association of Home Builders and Professional Builder magazine.
Ranging in size from 1.5 to nearly 19 acres, homesites were designed to retain the natural character of this former Florida ranch. More than a third of Stonelake Ranch’s homesites border the lake – Hillsborough County’s largest – providing 10,000 feet of lakefront, sweeping water views as well as an island bird sanctuary.
Residences must contain at least 3,500 square feet of living space if built on the water. Homes off the water can provide no less than 3,000 square feet of living space. Residential pricing runs from about $500,000 to more than $5 million including homesite.
Stonelake Ranch allows home owners to build private residential compounds – not just homes – with main houses, guest cottages, gazebos and much more … all on one homesite. Moreover, they can build horse stables and enjoy the community’s 40-foot-wide riding trails and 120 acres of undisturbed meadows.
Stonelake Ranch is being developed by Charles Funk and Jeff Meehan, who also created the community of Arbor Greene in the New Tampa area of Hillsborough County.
