DEC. 10, 2012, ST. PETERSBURG — LocalShops1 has made the first round of selections for Forbes magazine’s list of America’s Most Promising Companies.
“We appreciate the recognition from one of the nation’s top business magazines,” said Mo Venouziou, LocalShops1 vice president. “The past year we’ve had great success in working with our members to grow their businesses and strengthen our community.”
In the past year, LocalShops1 organized more than a dozen events, including the first ever Cash Mobs in the Tampa Bay region, the Small Business Awards, the Top Local Chef competition and the Shopapalooza festival, which brought more than 5,000 shoppers to downtown St. Petersburg.

For the second — and final — round of America’s Most Promising Companies, Forbes will examine eac finalist’s market, management team and company momentum. Winners will be announced early next year.
