|Bradenton, FL (December 4, 2012) Manatee County Habitat for Humanity received a $30,000 grant from Publix Super Markets Charities to help with the construction costs of a Habitat home in Manatee Habitats newest community Hope Landing. Publix Super Markets Charities was established by Publix’s founder, Mr. George Jenkins, to improve life in our communities. Hope Landing is Manatee Habitats first “green build” community and will be home to 18 Habitat families when completed.

Manatee County Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit, ecumenical, volunteer-based organization dedicated to building homes in partnership with low-income families who need safe, decent, affordable housing. The Manatee County Habitat for Humanity Affiliate was chartered in the summer of 1994 and has built 106 homes with the help of donors, families and volunteers.
