|David Spire of United Systems to Present to SCF Students on Friday, December 7
Bradenton, FL (November 27, 2012) — As the old saying goes, the best way to learn is by learning from the experience of others. For students pursuing a degree in business management at the State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF), adjunct instructor Clinton Day, MBA, practices just that. As part of his Introduction to Entrepreneurship course curriculum this semester, Day has invited David Spire, President and CEO of Bradenton-based IT consulting firm, United Systems, to speak one-on-one with the class of future business capitalists.
An entrepreneur and business owner himself, Spire will share knowledge and insight on his personal journey to becoming a CEO and building a profitable and thriving business through economic downturns. For students who have been exposed to a variety of small businesses, and who have grappled with business accounting, management, marketing and economics, Spire will introduce a new vantage point, specifically as it relates to owning a business in the information technology industry – one where similar companies have found it difficult to survive.
