FLORIDA, FEBRUARY 26 – MARCH 4, 2013
Tampa, FL — More than 50 concerts and performances are being scheduled for Florida’s Second Annual Listening Room Festival, February 26 – March 4. The weeklong festival is a state-wide celebration of house concerts as fundraisers for worthy causes.
Listening Room Festival provides free tools for music fans to host personalized concerts in their homes, offices, clubhouses, and other unique settings for live music.
Small “house concert” events like DessertAndSong(TM) offer a low-effort, high impact vehicle to fundraise and attract new volunteers. Through the festival’s connection with BenefitArtists.com, the performers are likely to reinforce the charities message through their stories and songs.
“House concerts have been bringing communities and neighborhoods together for decades. What better way to enjoy live music than in a cozy living room with good friends?” said Fran Snyder, Listening Room Festival founder. “Now we’re connecting these personal and remarkable experiences with worthwhile causes.”
The festival’s high point will be the St. Petersburg showcase at The Palladium on Sunday, March 3rd. Festival hosts, charities, and fans will gather to hear five featured performers selected from a professional community of 350 worldwide artists. Artists are selected by Florida house concert hosts, and will be announced by December 1.
“House concerts help us deepen our relationships and raise funds while keeping ourselves in the minds and hearts of our supporters.” Art O’Hara, R’ Club Child Care.
