TAMPA, FLA. – Marshall Gray, president of M/I Homes’ Tampa Division, was named the 2012 Builder of the Year by the Tampa Bay Builders Association, one of the largest building-trades associations in Florida.
The induction ceremony took place recently in Tampa and also marked the swearing in of the following officers for 2013: Joe Fontana of Ryland Homes, president; Willy Nunn of Homes by WestBay, president elect; Andrea Johnson of Parksite, first vice president; Jason Starling of Suarez Housing Group, treasurer; and Laurie Stewart of Heritage Drywall, secretary.
According to Gray – the outgoing TBBA president – the association also presented its Associate of the Year Award to Heritage Drywall’s Stewart, and the Remodeler of the Year to Ed Bezdek of Bezdek Construction Services.
And, finally, the 2011 Chris Demaio President’s Cup went to LRE Ground Services. Headquartered in Riverview, Fla., the TBBA is a professional organization serving Tampa Bay-area construction-related businesses in Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas counties. These include builders, developers, suppliers, subcontractors, lending institutions, architectural and engineering firms, as well as other related businesses.
The TBBA promotes professionalism and continuing education within the tri-county building-and-development industry, while encouraging industry participation in the community at large.
