(Sarasota, FL) – Today, Easter Seals Southwest Florida is proud to announce the awarding of the following grants to their organization:
· The Selby Foundation- $46,000 to purchase an accessible playground structure, a cozy dome, and two permanent sun shades for The Lily School. The support of the Selby Foundation will ensure that children of all abilities will be able to learn and play together.
· The Wilson Wood Foundation- $10,000 to aid in the provision of respite care for families who have children with chronic illnesses or disabilities including autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, and sensory disorders.
· The Community Foundation of Sarasota County- $5,000 for a lift system with slings to ensure the accessibility of a restroom used by people at Easter Seals with profound disabilities.
