The company will host a series of group interviews in the coming months to fill these positions.
TruGreen is using an innovative group interview hiring strategy to target positive, sales-oriented, customer-focused individuals who will help the company continue its mission to simplify and improve the quality of customers’ lives.
Richard Hill, vice president of contact centers for Terminix and TruGreen, said the new jobs will offer competitive pay and benefits, with earning potential tied to sales production, as well as training opportunities. According to the 2012 Bureau of Labor Statistics, current unemployment in Tampa is 8.7 percent and 6.3 percent in the Dallas area.
“Our goal is to develop high-performing, highly engaged, diverse teams,” said Hill. “Conducting group interviews allows us to see which candidates have the right attitudes for our brands and also provides the candidates the right platform to showcase their skills.”
The group interviews are by invitation only, after a phone screening and assessment by company representatives. To start the group interviews, each candidate will have 30 seconds to highlight his or her skills. Then TruGreen staff will ask the candidates a series of questions. During the question-and-answer session, candidates are encouraged to participate and build off of each other’s answers. Group interviews will consist of 15 candidates and last roughly 90 minutes.
