Christina Russi, Lead Information and Referral Specialist of United Way 2-1-1 of Manasota, Inc. and Ola Medrzycki Coordinator of the Senior Friendship Centers’ Friendship at Home program recently received Awards of Excellence from the Wilson-Wood Foundation at a special reception by the Community Foundation of Sarasota County. Both Russi and Medrzycki assist clients benefitting from the Season of Sharing funding, helping individuals and families who are on the verge of homelessness to stay in their homes. Through the efforts of these caseworkers, Season of Sharing funding is utilized with professionalism and compassion.
Per Jessica Ventimiglia, Executive Director of United Way 2-1-1 of Manasota exclaimed, “Christina never seeks recognition for her extraordinary efforts and is truly an unsung hero for her service to assist less fortunate residents.” United Way 2-1-1 is a nationally certified provider of information and referral services for residents and organizations in Sarasota, Manatee and DeSoto counties. During the last fiscal year the agency provided more than 79,000 referrals from over 63,000 calls connected for services. |
