On Friday, November 16th, over 50 students from Dayspring Academy will be performing a concert for the community as part of the school’s Community Service Day. “We know the importance of volunteers and community spirit and this is our way of supporting that focus”, said Kelly Covic, Arts Director for Dayspring Academy.
The students, who are in grades six through eight, are currently in Musical Theatre or Dance class. “We bring aspects of acting, theatre and dance to our performance”, said Ms. Covic. “We’ll be performing musical numbers with a 1950s theme and the students are learning to make their own poodle skirts for this concert”.
The performance is open to the public and all are welcome. Three numbers will be performed, starting at 9:30a.m. in the dining area of Medical Center of Trinity, located at 9330 State Road 54 in Trinity, FL. The dining area can be accessed through the main entrance of the hospital.
