Jackson Haskins signs on to handle the company’s new VOIP services
SARASOTA, Florida (November 5, 2012)—Sarasota-based SouthTech, one of southwest Florida’s best-known IT services firms, recently made a key addition to its roster by hiring Jackson Haskins as a business development manager.
Jackson’s role at SouthTech will be to oversee growth and development for all services across the organization, with a special emphasis on SouthTech’s new Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) services.
“Jackson has demonstrated strength in selling VOIP products and a track record of success there, as well as great sales experience across the board,” said SouthTech CEO Paul Hoffman. “We feel that VOIP is the right product for SouthTech to be involved with at this stage, and that Jackson is the right person to get us rolling with it.”
For Jackson, moving to SouthTech was a case of the right opportunity coming along at exactly the right time.
“SouthTech was ready to pick up the VOIP product just when I was ready to make some changes in my own career,” he said. “It’s another opportunity to continue the work I started with Star2Star.”
In fact, Jackson was one of the first employees at Star2Star, one of the leading VOIP hosting companies in the country. During his time there, he was involved in VOIP implementations for national organizations like Dollar General Stores, Pizza Hut, and the US Post Office.
It was exactly this experience that convinced SouthTech to hire Jackson.
