ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (October 29, 2012) – Having spearheaded 46 years of experience keeping central Florida’s senior citizens independent and active during their golden years, Neighborly Care Network (NCN) continues their vital mission through programs such as Adult Day Services. Seniors are invited to join one of three Adult Day Centers located throughout Pinellas County to connect with and socialize with peers.
Neighborly’s Adult Day Services provide caregivers with peace of mind and satisfaction that loved ones are safe and well looked after, while clients enjoy independence and freedom from the confines of nursing homes. With this assurance, caregivers can remain employed or have much-needed respite from the demands of constant care.
Adult Day Services attendees enjoy engaging activities, nutritious meals, socialization, health and medicationmonitoring. It is Neighborly’s goal to provide attendees with a sense of belonging that they may have lost as lifechanges have occurred. Caregivers and potential clients are invited to visit the centers to see the high quality of care that provide by staff and the enjoyment loved ones experience through arts, crafts, games, exercise groups, reminiscence groups, guest entertainers, and more.
Caring and qualified personnel provide clients and caregivers with customized care plans that address clients’ physical, emotional, nutritional, and social needs. This special care is ideal for seniors suffering from chronic conditions such asstroke, diabetes, heart disease, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and depression
Adult Day Centers are located in Dunedin, Largo, and St. Petersburg. Operating hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm. Neighborly’s staff of professional and medical personnel combines expertise in geriatrics with the caring and kindness essential to assist seniors throughout the day. All Neighborly Adult Day Centers are licensed by the Agency for Health Care Administration, and are members of both the National and the Florida Adult Day Services Association.

Seniors must be 60 years of age or older and live in Pinellas County. Transportation is provided to the closest Adult Day Center if needed at no charge. Program Intake Coordinators are available to explain fees and payment options. Some funding may be available as well as offers for flexible hours for full or partial-day attendance.
