When the Sarasota-Manatee Jewish Housing Council opened the Benderson Family Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center on the Kobernick-Anchin campus last year, the dream was to provide a place for members of the community and residents of Kobernick House and Anchin Pavilion to receive quality nursing and rehabilitation care close to home.
On Sunday, October 28, 2012 the Council will celebrate the 1-year anniversary of achieving this dream during an open house event from 2 – 4 pm at the Benderson Family Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center located at 1959 N. Honore Ave. in Sarasota.
“We are very proud at the type of facility we’ve established here and by the generosity shown to us by the Benderson Family,” said Kobernick-Anchin CEO Darlene Arbeit.
“Having the Benderson Family Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center on our campus allows residents to age in place without ever having to leavehome, which is a true benefit to those residents who have spouses and lovedones living here with them,” she said.
The facility is one of two dozen nursing homes in Florida to have received a five-star rating from the Agency of Healthcare Administration in the areas of overall inspection, quality of care, quality of life and administration.
Sunday’s open house will feature live music and is open to the public. For more information, contact Denise Cotler at (941) 377-0781.
