Hanging out, drinking delicious coffee, talking about art… ahhhh, that’s the life! Well, that IS the life at least for an hour or so each month at the Dunedin Fine Art Center’s Coffee and Conversation series. Enjoy FREE coffee (Presented by the Sterling Society of DFAC) and FREE insights as each month’s invited guest holds forth on their own area of expertise.
Thursday, November 8th at 12 noon, the series hosts Scott Menaul. Scott is an accomplished digital artist based in Clearwater. His presentation will answer ALL of your questions about digital art, from the historical perspective through the modern day. Scott will include a review of technology development and the potential for creating new styles and ways of thinking of art.
Scott’s work is influenced by his early interest in math and science. Many of his pieces include geometrical forms and a sense of precision that bridges fine art and design. After creating his first photographs in high-school, he pursued his interest in the practical applications of math and science by earning a degree in electrical engineering from Syracuse University. Scott’s creative appetite, led him into the fields of graphic design and computer illustration. In 1991 along with his wife Jerri, he created Synergy Network, a Boston area marketing communications firm and photography studio.
Scott has spent 14 years creating his medium. The interplay of light with the transparency of “glass” and reflections made possible digitally makes the artwork unusual and interesting.
