Clearwater, FL (October 22, 2012) – The Clearwater Regional Chamber in partnership with the City of Clearwater created a project to artistically showcase the bottlenose dolphin. The pod has grown to 80 dolphins located throughout Pinellas County and beyond.
On September 5, 2012 the Pod at Pier 60 was dismantled. Each of the 50 dolphins was returned to their owner for display at their choice of location. The majority of beautiful and uniquely decorated dolphins are available for public viewing and you are cordially invited to follow the dolphin trail. The following Google Map shows you exactly where the dolphins are located. (Photos will be added soon.) http://goo.gl/maps/1y4Cc
This project has been a tremendous team effort. Both sponsors and artists have had fun with their designs, naming their dolphins and now promoting their new homes. If you are not able to follow the Clearwater’s Dolphins Trail you can virtually experience it by visiting: Facebook – https://www.facebook.com/#!/ClearwatersDolphins
On October 5, 30 new dolphins arrive in Clearwater. Sponsors and artists are teaming for more exciting and creative dolphin designs. When these dolphins are completed and placed in their new homes, they will be added to the Dolphin Trail.
